Football Club de Metz-Algrange

Previously known as the Association Sportive d'Algrange, the women's section of the Football Club de Metz-Algrange was created in 1999. After having played several seasons in the regional levels of the Ligue de Lorraine, the club first entered Division 2 in 2008, then Division 1 in 2014. Division 2 champion at the end of the 2017-18 season, the Messines are back in the elite of the French championship this year, with a new coach in the person of Manuel Peixoto and his assistant Olivia Routier.

Like their male counterparts, the FC Metz-Algrange players are playing in their traditional Grenat and White colours at home.

Paris SG - FC Metz

In the 2018-19 Division 1 season, the Messines had lost 3-1 on Matchday 6 at home. The Red and Blue had then defeated them in Paris 7 - 1on matchday 14, with a hat-trick from Marie-Antoinette Katoto.

The Parisians won 6 to 1 at Saint Symphorien stadium during the matchday 2 in Division 1 Arkema, in particular thanks to Kadidiatou Diani who scoring four goals. The Red and Blue have then defeated them 5 - 1 at Georges Lefevre on matchday 14, with 3 goals from Katoto.

Did you know?

Before returning to Division 1 in the summer of 2018, FC Metz-Algrange had an exceptional 2017-18 season in Division 2, winning 18 times in 22 matches and finishing with the best attack and defence in the championship. First in Group A and Group B respectively, FC Metz and Dijon FCO reached the top of the French league by achieving the same statistical season with 56 points.

Marie-Laure Delie

Born on April 14, 1995 in Germany, Melike was trained at Bayern Munich where she won the Bundesliga in 2015. She joined the Division 1 Arkema with FC Metz between January and May 2017 before joining Paris Saint-Germain. After playing 19 matches in red and blue jerseys, the Turkish striker was on loan to the Girondins de Bordeaux from January to June, scoring in her first match under her new colours. Back at FC Metz in the summer of 2019, she strengthened the offensive messines sector.

Dezavelle Stadium

Located on the southern outskirts of Metz and a few steps from the Saint-Symphorien Stadium where the men's team plays, Dezavelle Stadium is the official pitch for FC Metz-Algrange players. At the heart of a global project to beautify and transform the site, the city of Metz recently carried out work on the changing rooms and the lawn, giving way to a new synthetic coating in the era of time. The stadium has a covered side stand that can accommodate approximately 800 spectators.
