Girondins de Bordeaux

Girondins de Bordeaux women's section was created in 2015, following the agreement reached with the Entente Sportive Blanquefortaise. The following season, the team entered Division 1 for the first time in its history.

During the 2016-17 season, the Bordeaux women validated their retention among the elite on the last day and a draw against Paris Saint-Germain.

The team has been coached since 2016 by Jérôme Dauba. During the 2017-18 season, he received the honorary title of Coach of the Year for his work with the Girondines

Paris SG - FC Girondins de Bordeaux

The Parisians, who received Bordeaux on Division 1 matchday 4, won 3-0 with goals from Marie-Antoinette Katoto, Grace Geyoro and Nadia Nadim. The return match in Gironde will be held in May, on matchday 21, final away match for the Red and Blue.

During the 2018-19 season and for their third season in the elite of the French championship, the Girondines made an ideal preparation. After having concluded the preparation stage with 3 wins and 1 draw, the Navy and White then compiled 3 wins and 2 draws in the first five Division 1 matches, symbolising their rapid evolution season after season.

Viviane Asseyi

Born on November 20th, 1993, in Mont-Saint-Aignan, Viviane Asseyi began her professional career in 2008 at FC Rouen, before joining the Montpellier Hérault Sporting Club and then Olympique de Marseille. 

A French international since 2013 and after having been selected for youth teams, she joined the Football Club des Girondins de Bordeaux in the summer of 2018. Under the colours of Navy and White, her attacking skills soon became apparent with a goal on Division 1 matchday 2 against Rodez.

Stade Robert Monseau

The Girondine players have been playing at Stade Robert Monseau since the 2018 season and the partnership made official between the city of Saint-Médart-en-Jalles and Girondins de Bordeaux. This agreement is part of their shared desire to contribute to the development of women's football in the Bordeaux metropolis. During major Division 1 or UEFA Women's Champions League matches, the Navy and White may be called upon to play at Matmut Atlantique.
