Stade Brestois 29 in short

Founded in 1950 as a result of the merger of five local sports associations, Stade Brestois 29 is one of Brittany's most emblematic clubs, alongside Stade Rennais and En Avant Guingamp. After quickly reaching the professional divisions, the club enjoyed a prosperous period in the 1980s, playing nine seasons in the elite of the French league. Back in Ligue 1 Uber Eats in 2010 after a bankruptcy, the club then moved up between the first two national levels.

At the end of a successful 2018-19 season, Stade Brestois 29 confirmed its rise to Ligue 1 Uber Eats following its 3-0 victory over the Chamois Niortais Football Club, finishing second behind FC Metz. This sporting success was built around important men such as coach Jean-Marc Furlan, Gaëtan Charbonnier, Mathias Autret and Yoann Court. The team also managed to finish with the best attack of the championship, as well as the best home team in their Stade Francis-Le Blé. Stade Brestois 29 will be coaching by Olivier Dall'Oglio for 2019-20 season, former Dijon FCO technician between 2012 and 2018. The club finished 14th in the ranking at the end of the 2019-20 seaosn, ahead of FC Metz and Dijon FCO.

The Parisians against Brest

Throughout their history, Paris Saint-Germain and Stade Brestois 29 have competed on many occasions on a national scale. The last victory of the Bretons at Parc des Princes dates back to the 1981-82 season. On May 19th, 2013, a 3-1 victory for the Red and Blue was the last game of David Beckham's professional career.

On January 9th, 2021, and for the first match at Parc in 2021, the Parisians have defeated Brest 3 - 0, with goals from Kean, Icardi and Sarabia.

Stade Brestois was receiving Paris Saint-Germain at Francis-Le Blé Stadium on March 6th, 2021, as part of French Cup Round of 32. The Red and Blue went victorious 3 - 0, with 2 goals from Kylian Mbappé and 1 from Pablo Sarabia.

Stade Brestois 29 have failed to win against Paris Saint-Germain since their return to Ligue 1 Uber Eats in 2010.

Born in Tours, France, Abdou Diallo is a French footballer playing mainly as a central defender. Trained at AS Monaco, with whom he signed his first professional contract in 2014, he was transferred to Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2019 after a very good season at Borussia Dortmund. On November 9th, 2019, he appeared in the starting line-up as part of the travel to Brest, positioned in central defence alongside Thiago Silva. The Parisians won 2-1 thanks to goals from Di Maria and Icardi.

Romain Perraud

Born on September 22th, 1997 in Toulouse, Romain Perraud is one of the revelations of the Stade Brestois for the 2020-21 season. Trained at OGC Nice with whom he turned professional in 2016, he played his first match with the pros on December 8th, 2016, during a Europa League match against Krasnodar. After a loan to Paris FC during the 2018-19 season, Romain Perraud was transferred to Stade Brestois on July 17th, 2019. In Brittany, this modern left-back will assert himself match after match until he becomes an essential part of the Brest squad.

Francis-Le Blé Stadium

Inaugurated in 1922, Francis-Le Blé Stadium, former mayor of the city, is the official stadium of Stade Brestois 29. With a total capacity of 15,097 seats, Stade Francis-Le Blé is composed of four stands: Foucault stand, Crédit Mutuel Arkéa stand, Route de Quimper stand and Plein Ciel stand. The record attendance was set during the 1986-87 season and the receipt of Olympique de Marseille.

Practical information
Located in the Saint Marc district, near the city centre and the Place de Strasbourg, Francis-Le Blé Stadium is accessible by public transport at the Place de Strasbourg stop of tramway A, as well as via lines 8, 11 and 14 on the Route de Quimper side. Many car parks are available around the stadium, especially those of the Charles de Foucault High School.
