The Parc des Sports was inaugurated in 1934, it is now named after the former deputy mayor of Dijon Gaston-Gérard. Situated in the Montmuzard district, the stadium is mainly used for Dijon FCO matches. Its capacity is 15,459 seats, the attendance record was beaten on October 15th, 2017, with the reception of Paris Saint-Germain, 15,160 spectators were present. Both the city of Dijon and the Gaston-Gérard Stadium were able to host many events, including the athletics meeting where the famous pole vaulter Sergueï Bubka achieved his personal best. Bob Marley also gave a previously unpublished concert on June 4th, 1980.
Practical information
Located in the Montmuzard district, the Gaston Gérard stadium is served by the city's public transport network, in particular the T1 tram at the Parc des Sports stop, as well as by a shuttle system dedicated to the Dijon FCO. StadiGO, 5 shuttle lines criss-cross the Burgundy Franche-Comté region to allow fans to get to the stadium. Four free park and ride facilities are also located near the stadium.
