Founded in 1960, USAM Nîmes enjoyed its glory years three decades ago, claiming four league crowns and three French Cup trophies between 1988 and 1993. One of their best-ever seasons came in 1993/94, when they ended up second in the league, held aloft the French Cup, and finished third in the EHF Champions League – their most successful European run to date.
In season 2017/18, USAM Nîmes Gard finished at a promising eighth position, a very good performance from Frank Maurice's players. At the end of the 2018/19 season, Nîmes carried out once again a great championship ended a the 5th position, just behind HBC Nantes.

On November 14, 2020, the Parisians went to the Salle du Parnasse in Nîmes, as part of Liqui Moly Starligue matchday 8. The Red and Blue signed an 8th consecutive victory in the championship, by winning 31 - 27, with a great performance of goalkeeper Vincent Gerard.
The two teams met again on the last matchday of the 2020-21 Liqui Moly StarLigue. The Parisians won easily 47-27 with a great performance from Kamil Syprzak (7 goals). This is the best offensive performance of the Parisians this season.
On February 27, 2022, Our Parisians hosted Les Nîmois at the Pierre de Coubertin stadium during the Matchday 18 of the Liqui Moly Starligue, the red and blue won 36-31 thanks to remarkable performances of Syprzak (7 goals), Steins(5 goals) and Yann Genty (10 saves).
PSG and USAM Nîmes met in the quarter-finals of the 2023/24 French Cup. In a match where the Parisians were serious and dominant, they won 30-22, qualifying for the semi-finals of the competition!
For the start of the 2024/25 Liqui Moly Starligue season, the Parisians hosted USAM Nîmes on 07 September 2024 to a roaring Stade Pierre de Coubertin. The Rouge et Bleu won 36-33 to clinch the first league match of the season and get the season off to the best possible start!

Andreas Palicka started his career as a junior and then as a professional with the Swedish club Redbergslids IK. Then, he gained experience at the highest level with THW Kiel, Aalborg Handbold and Rhein-Neckar Lowen. During his career in Germany, the strong Swedish goalkeeper won 7 championships, 5 German Cups and 2 Champions Leagues with Kiel (2010-2012). A few years later, the goalkeeper born in 1986 achieved new feats by giving the victory to Sweden at the 2022 European Championship. He even won the title of best goalkeeper of the competition, just a few months before joining Paris Saint-Germain in the summer of 2022.
Born in Strasbourg on March 1, 1994, Boïba Sissoko is a French handball player who has been playing as a left winger for US Créteil since 2014. The sixth top scorer of the season with 161 goals, he proved decisive in his team's accession to the Liqui Moly Starligue. Recognized by his peers, he was awarded the title of MVP of the Proligue, succeeding Cherbourg player Youenn Cardinal. He signed a 3 years-deal for USAM Nîmes on summer 2022.
The Salle du Parnasse

Inaugurated in 1993 on the occasion of the Mediterranean Games, organised by the Languedoc-Roussillon region, the Parnasse room hosts the USAM Nîmes meetings. With a total capacity of 3,400 seats in match format, this modular venue also hosted the World Fencing and Archery Championships.
Located on the southern outskirts of Nîmes, Le Parnasse is accessible by public transport, in particular tram line T1 at the Costières-Parnasse stop and bus line I at the Estanque stop. Its proximity to the Costières Stadium and its car park also makes it easy to reach by car.
