About Juventus

Founded on 1 July 2017 after acquiring the licence of Cuneo Calcio, the women's section of Juventus FC, (also nicknamed la Vecchia Signora for the Old Lady in Italian), is based in Turin, Piedmont. Taking advantage of the opportunity offered by the Italian Football Federation, Juventus acquired the licence of Cuneo Calcio, allowing its women's team to enter the top flight directly.

In their first season (2017/18), under the guidance of coach Rita Guarino, the team won the Italian championship and achieved the Cup-Championship double the following year.

After winning 5 consecutive league titles between 2018 and 2022, the Bianconere saw AS Roma win the scudetto in 2023 and 2024.

PSG Women face Juventus in Turin

Following the draw for the Champions League play-offs on 09 September 2024, Paris Saint-Germain's women's team took on Juventus for the first time in their history in a bid to qualify for the group stages. After a complicated match for the Rouge et Bleu, Juve won 3-1 at home on 18 September 2024. 

They will be hoping for a repeat performance in the second leg of the play-off, which will take place at the PSG Campus on 26 September 2024.

In the second leg of the play-off on 26 September 2024, Juve defeated the Red and Blues 2-1 in a stunning encounter. Cantore opened the scoring for the Bianconeris in the 2nd minute before PSG pulled a goal back through Romée Leuchter's 54th-minute penalty. In the end, Juventus once again found the net thanks to Barbara Bonansea's 72nd-minute strike, which proved to be the winner for the Italian team.

Born on 12 January 2001 in Heerlen, the Netherlands, Romée Leuchter is a Dutch international footballer currently playing as a striker for Paris Saint-Germain. She began her career at PSV Eindhoven, where she stayed for 2 years before joining Ajax Amsterdam in the summer of 2021. She scored a brace in her first game against her former team and, in September 2022, scored a brace against Arsenal to earn Ajax a 2-2 draw in the second qualifying round of the Champions League. In all, she won 2 Dutch Cups, 1 with PSV and 1 with Ajax, as well as a Dutch Championship title with the latter. She finally left Ajax Amsterdam on 09 July 2024 to join Paris Saint-Germain.

Born on 05 February 1997 in Saint-Priest, in the Rhône region, Estelle Cascarino is a French international footballer who plays as a defender for Juventus. She started playing for Olympique Lyonnais' youth teams at the age of 13 and signed her first federal contract in June 2015. She made her Arkema Première Ligue debut in the 2014/15 season and won the U19 European Championship in 2016. After three years with FC Juvisy and a brief spell with Girondins de Bordeaux, she joined PSG in 2021, with whom she won the French Women's Cup in 2021/22. In January 2023, she was loaned out to Manchester United, before joining Juventus for good in the summer of 2023.

Juventus Center

Juventus' women's team usually play their matches at the Juventus Center, which is also home to the men's team, as the stadium also serves as a training camp. Opened in 2006 to replace the Campo Sportivo Gianpiero Combi, the Juventus Center, also known as ‘Le Vinovo’, covers an area of 140,000 square metres, 6,000 of which are covered. It is one of the most modern training grounds in the world and includes a medical centre, a youth training centre and the premises of the Juventus Channel, the club's television channel.

The stadium has been the scene of many of the club's successes, most notably in the group stage of the 2022/23 Champions League, when Juventus beat Zurich 5-0 at home.
