Girondins de Bordeaux in brief

The women's section of the Girondins de Bordeaux was created in 2015, following an agreement with the Entente Sportive Blanquefortaise. The following season, the team entered the Division 1 Arkema for the first time in its history.

During the 2016-17 season, the Bordeaux team confirmed their place among the elite on the final day and a draw against Paris Saint-Germain.

The team has been coached since 2019 by Pedro Martinez Losa, after a spell on the bench of Arsenal FC Women.

At the end of the 2019-20 season of D1 Arkema, the Bordeaux players finished in 3rd place in the ranking, 4 points behind Paris Saint-Germain.

The Parisian women against Girondins de Bordeaux

During the 2019-20 season, the Parisian women received Bordeaux on Division 1 Arkema matchday 4. They won at home 3-0 with goals from Marie-Antoinette Katoto and Grace Geyoro in the first half.
Facing the Girondines in the semi-finals of the French Cup on August 2nd, 2020, the Parisians won 2-1. Paredes and Bruun qualified Paris Saint-Germain for the final against Olympique Lyonnais.

Grace Geyoro

Midfielder 02/07/1997
Born on 2 July 1997 in Kolwezi in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Grace Geyoro is a French international midfielder. Although she joined Paris Saint-Germain in the youth category in 2012, it was in 2014 that she played her first professional match in the Parisian colours. A midfielder at the heart of the game, she is increasingly moving forward, scoring seven goals in a shortened 2019/2020 season. She opened her account on Matchday 4 at the Stade Georges Lefèvre against Bordeaux in a match won 3-0 by the Parisian side.

Born in Saint-Priest on 24 December 1994, Eve Périsset began her professional career at Olympique Lyonnais before joining Paris Saint-Germain for four seasons. The defender quickly became a key player in the Red and Blue team and was even named vice-captain. French international since 2016, she joined the Girondins de Bordeaux Football Club in the summer of 2020. Under the Marine et Blanc colors, Eve Périsset wishes to continue to show her talent as a defender in the French D1 Arkema championship.

Stade Robert Monseau

The Girondines players have been playing at the Stade Robert Monseau since the 2018 season and the partnership between the city of Saint-Médart-en-Jalles and the Girondins de Bordeaux club. This agreement is part of their common desire to participate in the development of women's football in the Bordeaux metropolis. During major Division 1 Arkema or UEFA Women's Champions League matches, the Marine et Blanc may play at Matmut Atlantique.

Practical information
Located on the north-western outskirts of Bordeaux, the Stade Robert Monseau is accessible by car from the D1215. The tram stop Le Haillan Rostand on line A is just a few minutes drive from the sports arena.
