Girondins de Bordeaux in brief

The women's section of the Girondins de Bordeaux was created in 2015, following an agreement with the Entente Sportive Blanquefortaise. The following season, the team entered the Division 1 Arkema for the first time in its history.

During the 2016-17 season, the Bordeaux team confirmed their place among the elite on the final day and a draw against Paris Saint-Germain.

The team has been coached between 2019 and 2021 by Pedro Martinez Losa, after a spell on the bench of Arsenal FC Women, and then by Patrice Lair, former coach of Olympique Lyonnais and Paris Saint-Germain Women.

The 2020-21 season was particularly successful, as Bordeaux finished in the last qualifying position for the Champions League (3rd place) with 7 points above Paris FC.

The Parisian women against Girondins de Bordeaux

During the 2020-21 season, the first encounter ended on 0 - 0 on Division 1 Arkema matchday 2, and despite a very good game of Luana with a shot on the crossbar, and a missed penalty from Katoto.

Facing the Girondines in the semi-finals of the French Cup on August 2nd, 2020, the Parisians won 2-1. Paredes and Bruun qualified Paris Saint-Germain for the final against Olympique Lyonnais.

On the the matchday 11 of D1 Arkema of the 2021/22 season, the Parisians won 1-0 against Bordeaux. The return match was more open with a 5-1 victory of Didier Ollé-Nicolle's players thanks to a triple of Diani.

On the 13th day of the 2023/34 season, January 20, 2024, Paris beat Bordeaux 8-1 to consolidate second place in the standings!

The 2020/21 season was particularly successful for Bordeaux, finishing in third place which qualified them for the Champions League

Grace Geyoro Midfielder 02/07/1997

Born on 2 July 1997 in Kolwezi in the Democratic Republic of Congo, Grace Geyoro is a French international midfielder. Although she joined Paris Saint-Germain in the youth category in 2012, it was in 2014 that she played her first professional match in the Parisian colours. A midfielder at the heart of the game, she is increasingly moving forward, scoring seven goals in a shortened 2019/2020 season. She opened her account on Matchday 4 at the Stade Georges Lefèvre against Bordeaux in a match won 3-0 by the Parisian side.

Andréa Lardez Defender 23/01/1994

Born on January 23, 1994 in Poissy, in the Yvelines, Andréa Lardez started at the Etoile sportive montoise, before joining the Entente sportive blanquefortaise in 2011. The latter will become the women's section of Girondins de Bordeaux in 2015. The left side participates in its first games of Division 1 Arkema during the 2016/17 season, before knowing its first minutes in the Champions League in 2021/22. On May 7, 2022 against Paris Saint-Germain, she was a starter at left-back, opposite Diani in her lane.

Stade Robert Monseau

The Girondines players have been playing at the Stade Robert Monseau since the 2018 season and the partnership between the city of Saint-Médart-en-Jalles and the Girondins de Bordeaux club. This agreement is part of their common desire to participate in the development of women's football in the Bordeaux metropolis. During major Division 1 Arkema or UEFA Women's Champions League matches, the Marine et Blanc may play at Matmut Atlantique.

In the 2022/23 season, the club went victorious at home against Guingamp (3 - 1), Soyaux (2 -1) and Le Havre (4 - 2).

Practical information

Located on the north-western outskirts of Bordeaux, the Stade Robert Monseau is accessible by car from the D1215. The tram stop Le Haillan Rostand on line A is just a few minutes drive from the sports arena.
