Paris-SG vs AS Roma
AS Roma in Brief
AS Roma's women's section was created in July 2018, enabling it to play in Serie A in its very first season.
In a league outrageously dominated by Juventus, the team that has won the last 5 national championships, AS Roma challenged this hegemony by winning Serie A in 2023. They also won the Italian Cup against AC Milan in 2021, and the Italian Supercup against Juventus in 2022.
On their first appearance in Europe's biggest competition, the Italians had a fine run, losing out to eventual winners FC Barcelona.

The PSG against Roma
The two teams had never faced each other before the 2023/24 season. However, the draw for the group phase of the Women's Champions League 2023/24 has placed both teams in Group C, with Ajax Amsterdam and Bayern Munich.
The Parisians opened the scoring with a penalty late in the first half. Marie-Antoinette Katoto scored the Parisians' second goal just after the interval. PSG's performance was the best of the day, as after 3 games they were just two points off the group lead.
On Matchday 4, the Parisians put in another solid performance, winning 3-1 at the Stadio Tre Fontane.
